Our Story and Expertise
We started Des Moines Carpentry in 2016 with a simple idea: do quality carpentry work and build a reputation one project at a time. Over the years, we've repaired hundreds of homes across Des Moines, from water-damaged joists and rotted beams to complete structural overhauls. That experience taught us how houses actually fail, what holds up, and how to fix problems the right way.
Today we specialize in three core areas: structural carpentry (beam replacement, floor joist repair, load-bearing wall work), wood rot and termite damage repair, and finish carpentry (trim, built-ins, doors, and custom details). We've earned a reputation in Des Moines for honest estimates, clean work, and showing up when we say we will.
Our team
Our crew are carpenters who care about their craft. Most have spent years learning how to read wood, diagnose damage, and build things that don't fail. We're invested in Des Moines and the families we work for, and that shows in how we show up every day.
